I am sure that the information in this book is excellent, as I have read other Storey guides before and found them very helpful. Also, the large size of the book makes it difficult to pick up and flip through. However, when the other reviewers comment on the size of the font and the quality of the paper, they have a very legitimate complaint. The font is miniscule, and the paper is thin and flimsy. As someone interested in the aesthetics of a book as well as the content, I would have to say this is a very poor design. I would rather pay more and get a book I could read more easily.
My wife loves this book. It gives directions from a broad range of topics from cooking opossum to making bird houses. I regret she hasn't tried either of these yet, but it does include them.
This book is a "must have" for everyone. Tons of lost and forgotten information that is still useful today. One of the best reference books i own. Very glad to have it.
A good book to have but will it stand up to repeated use.Paper not very strong,or thick enough.
This book really does touch on so many topics it is well worth the little bit you have to pay for the knowledge. I lik ein the country and have my whole life and learnd things in the book I have never even thought of. Pick one up, you will like it.
